Family Dentistry is a general term, but it holds a lot of meaning here at Parkview Dental. Not only because Dr. Schmidt is also married to dentist, Dr. Tara Mattingly-Schmidt, and together they have an energetic little boy, but because we feel our entire practice is a one big family!

Yet, Family Dentistry also means something else to our patients. It means we treat the whole family. We want parents to feel comfortable bringing in their 5-year-old have their first real dental appointment with us—and we want seniors to be comfortable coming to us for the difficult and important care that often comes with a long and beautiful life.

Families: Come in together! When possible, we love to see entire families. Parents and children who make an appointment together often reduce a lot of the stress of remembering and scheduling multiple appointments. Children often feel more at-ease after watching their parents or siblings receiving their cleaning. Also, parents can watch one child while we do an exam on the other. We know your time is limited and we work to provide thorough exams and quality care. We have a family-friendly waiting room and most of our staff are parents themselves. We certainly understand how important it is to be able to have a smooth, and relaxing dental experience and we strive to make that a reality for your family.
