Things To Do In Gilbert

Gilbert, AZ is a bustling, growing and beautiful town of about 300,000 residents, just southeast of Phoenix. Gilbert has a rich history as a large farming community, once known as the “Hay Shipping Capital of the World”. Gilbert’s first store opened in 1910, with its post office opening its doors in 1912.

There has been a lot of change in Gilbert, but it remains beautiful and family-friendly. We are proud to be a part of this community and enjoy what it has to offer. Below are just a few of the interesting and fun things to do in Gilbert.

Riparian Preserve At Water Ranch

Riparian is a bird-watcher’s paradise! With close to 200 species of birds it is a great way to spend an amazing and peaceful day outdoors with the family. Our favorite activity is the free Friends of Audubon Arizona Family Bird Walks, between 8am and 1pm on the third Saturday of every month from October through March. There are picnic tables, a children’s play area, walking trails, and bathroom facilities—which make the Riparian a great place for a family picnic any day of the week.
